SL - S-STEM study table Tutor/Supplemental-Instructor/Scholar
The S-STEM study table Tutors/Supplemental Intructors/Scholars are students with very strong math and technology skills with the ability to tutor students in discrete mathematics and programming, help with undergraduate research projects, serve as near-peer mentors, and work independently providing quality support, instruction and mentorship. We are looking for four students to work on average five hours per week during the academic year with two of these students also working the S-STEM Summer Bridge Program (forty hours the week of August 18-23). Please indicate on your application in the last section if you can work the summer bridge program as well as any math and programming courses you have taken.
Main Job Duties:
Tutor at the S-STEM study tables
Near-Peer Mentor for S-STEM students
Supplemental Instruction Tutor
Assist with Undergraduate Research Projects
Tasks associated to the S-STEM Bridge Program
Occasional Job Duties or Projects:
Assist S-STEM Project Directors in providing supplementary instruction
Assist S-STEM Project Directors in grant activities
Coordination of Special S-STEM events
REQUIREMENTS:

Major/Coursework Required: (Example: Computer Science or Business Management)
Computer Science (at least CSC 105, 150, 250)
