SL - Part Time Cybersecurity Researcher
PATRIOT (Protection and Threat Research for the Internet of Things) Lab is looking for Cybersecurity Researchers to join our lab to work on a cybersecurity project related to Cyber Agriculture. Through development of Quantum algorithms/attack models, the project intends to build and execute a secure, adaptable, and unique approach for ensuring data integrity. Quantum algorithms and techniques will be developed as part of the project to suit requirements in agricultural environments. The project is hosted at PATRIOT Lab in Madison Cyber Labs (MadLabs) and students joining the project are expected to work at the MadLabs during the assigned office hours. This is a collaborative project, and we will closely work with a research team from SDSU, Brookings.
Main Job Duties:
The duties of the Cybersecurity Researchers include, but are not limited to:
- Research & develop attack models/algorithms for secure agriculture data framework.
- Conduct security and vulnerability analysis on the developed Algorithms
- Create detailed documentation and technical reports for the project.
- Collaborate with other students, including graduate students and faculty members, in the project.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills:
- Background in Linux.
- Good knowledge of python, C or additional scripting and/or programming languages.
- Some understanding of Encryption
- Some understanding of networking (optional)
Major/Coursework Required:
Any one of the following:
- Computer Science
- Cyber Operations
- Artificial Intelligence
- Network and Security Administration
